Grace Ann Durr Humanitarian Award

The Methodist Hospital Humanitarian Award is intended to honor outstanding individuals for their humanitarian and volunteer activities. The award is named in the honor of Grace Ann Durr (1926-2008), a long-serving and devoted Methodist Hospital board member and the first woman to lead the San Antonio Independent School District. Mrs. Durr was the daughter of G.S. McCreless, a real estate developer who with four others donated land for the purpose of building a Methodist Hospital for the Community. Throughout her life, Mrs. Durr embraced the value of the human spirit and the duty of each of us to work diligently to improve ourselves and others.

The Grace Ann Durr Methodist Hospital Humanitarian Award recognizes and honors outstanding employees, volunteers and Methodist Hospital affiliated physicians.
